This is also its greatest strength. It will allow you to send any voltage to your product at the other end of the ethernet line. I have used many DC voltages from 5 to 24 without any problems at all. Features a handy LED power indicator.The power connector will accept the plug from what is likely the world's most popular size, the size is 5.5/2.1mm DC plug. That size is the one that you get in nearly all externally powered computer products from wireless access points to routers. This POE adapter is a dirt cheap alternative for the proprietary Power Over Ethernet adapters that cost a fortune. For people that have used this device, understand its intrinsic value and flexibility there is nothing else that compares at ANY price.
