This Victorinox 24145 Maverick II is not warrantied my Victorinox because Amazon isn't an authorized dealer. The warranty is 30 days and the remaining warranty (Amazon didn't know the amount of time covered)is covered through a 3rd party company called NEW (National Electronics Warranty). The Victorinox website doesn't list this as a 2011 model as Amazon noted. The warranty book enclosed makes you believe that Victorinox will cover the watch. However, important documentation is missing (warranty card and authorized deal's stamp). Vey misleading and makes a buyer wonder if the Amazon watches sold are refurbished (Amazon couldn't give me a direct answer on this question). I guess for the price I should have been more cautious.

Although I have a couple of reasonably expensive watches, That's my first swiss watch, and even if it's considered a low-end (mainly because of the price point), you can really tell the difference among other fashion or dress watches.

Really well-finished (even better than some Tissots that I tried), a red bezel white dial combo that catches the eye, and very comfortable and soft rubber band.

Sturdy but not too heavy and perfectly sized for my wrist.

And the Sapphire Crystal is really great... I can't tell about scratch resistance, but it is so clear and non-reflexive that it may take a while for you to be sure that there's something on the dial. Way better than all my other crystal mineral watches.
