We recently traveled to the UK with our 2-year-old and this item was PERFECT. We didn't want to schlep the extra size and weight that a PeaPod with a mattress would entail. Instead, we merely set up the tent on top of a plush carpet, or in some cases on top of a folded up quilt. We did not have to put anything inside the tent to make it softer. It was perfect and she loved sleeping in her cozy tent. I should add that the tent fabric is very easy to clean. She unfortunately picked up a stomach bug on out trip and threw up inside of it. I was able to rinse it out in the tub, wipe it down with a baby wipe and towel, and it cleaned up--and more importantly DRIED--very quickly.I highly recommend this product. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Love this thing, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: KidCo PeaPod Lite (Baby Product) I chose this over a more traditional infant travel bed because it seemed more versatile. I was not disappointed! It folds into a small, light circle with its own carry bag, it's easy to open, easy to close if you read the directions and could probably go anywhere. It doesn't have it's own mattress (as stated in the description) but on a carpet or a quilt (NOT inside!), it's great. Only good for little ones up to probably 11-12months unless they are really small. No cushion on the bottom but we just put it on carpet or a folded towel and it was fine. The zipper is a bit loud for light sleepers and my little one didn't like to wake up and be stuck. |
