I bought this board for the family as a multi-purpose board for me to learn how to surf on and the kids to use as a paddleboard. It has filled both roles, and a third, wonderfully.The kids (5 and 8) have actually started surfing on it too and I am likely going to pick up a smaller version of it specifically for them. The most amazing thing about the board is the company. I emailed them a couple of times and almost instantly received a reply with very good informaton. The board itself is a great value and good quality. If you want a board that smaller kids can paddleboard on and adults can play in the waves and learn to surf this is a good choice.
