500 PSI Dive Mask Anti Fog Solution

Product Description

One of the top finishers five years ago in Rodales Scuba Lab Testers Choice, this defogger was also a top finisher in recent tests. The bluish gel is similar to toothpaste and is designed to be applied either wet or dry. It's thick stuff and takes some rubbing to work it in, so you have to be liberal in how much you use. The bottle has a rocker-type cap-you won't have to unscrew it, only to lose it overboard. Apply with fingers only, then give it a good rinse. No apparent eye sting. Among the more economical defoggers tested

  • PADI Master Scuba Diving Instructor Owned and Operated.
  • This Product Comes Complete With A Full Manufacturer Warranty.

I clean the mask with filtered drinking water, dry with a towel using fingers, then apply a dab of the gel to my finger and use it to smear a good gel coat on the inside of my mask. Then let it sit for a short time while I prep my gear. Then I use a small amount of filtered water to clean the gel off the inside glass by very lightly swishing the water around and use my finger if necessary. Swishing the water takes most of the buildup away unless you used too much. Leave the inside of the mask wet until you put it on.

Works for me almost all the time. I have had the mask fog a few times but that could be my fault. Keep it on you in a small pouch or bag...you CAN re-apply in the water using the same method. Just make sure to rinse after applying otherwise the evaporating may sting the eyes when you put the mask back on.

The little bottle will last quite a... Read more
